Saturdays only Miner’s Christmas, no regular tours

Dear visitors,

Due to the Miner's Christmas Celebrations, we cannot offer regular guided tours or adventure tours on Advent Saturdays. Only Miner's Christmas Celebrations will take place.

This applies to November 30th, December 7th, December 14th and December 21st, 2024.

You are welcome to take regular guided tours and the adventure tour from Wednesday to Friday!

Guest card holders receive the World Heritage app free of charge.

From 13th to 21st March 2023, the Visitor's Mine Zinnwald is closed due to maintenance and modernization. We look forward to welcoming you again from March 22, 2023!

Winter Holidays! Extra opening hours and specials for children!

It's winter vacation time in Germany! The mines in Zinnwald and Altenberg have come up with something very special for this.

From January 30th to February 26th, Zinnwald also opens its doors on Tuesdays - regular tours at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.!

In Zinnwald on 10.02. and 24.02. Children's tour takes place at 10:00 a.m.

STONE CRAFTING - with pewter figures and minerals - Thursdays from 10:00 a.m.!

Not to forget the expert tours: on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. we will take you into the secret hiding places of the mine, which nobody else will discover! Duration: 2.5-3 hours - be careful, it gets low (ca. 1.20 m ceiling height)!
